GM Announces Three Additional Recalls Affecting 1.5 Million Vehicles

Four other vehicles were damaged in the 5:30 p.m.fire that snarled traffic on Tonnelle Avenue, North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue officials said. When firefighters arrived at the lot behind American Auto Body and Paint at 5401 Tonnelle Ave., three vehicles were fully engulfed, and the fire was spreading to other vehicles, North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief David Curtis said. When the fire was under control about 20 minutes later, the commuter van had been reduced to its metal framework, and the engine compartment of a truck and its cab had been destroyed. The fire also damaged a second truck, a SUV, a pickup truck and a car. Curtis said the fire appears to have started in the commuter van, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation. <br>For the original version including any supplementary images or video, visit http://www.nj.com/jjournal-news/index.ssf/2014/03/north_bergen_fire_rips_through.html
